Check These Out!

Picked up this cd at Starbucks last night:
It's all covers from KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic

And a month ago:
Bob Marley Live 1973-1975

Starbucks always has a few good discs every time I go in there

Yankees need some more wins

C'mon Yanks, Get back in the season. You cannot be losing games to the Rockies and the Giants. What is the deal here? I am counting on you to get a ring this year and shut up all those Boston idiots. Seriously, the Boston bandwagon is so strong right now and they are all pathetic. But, they are winning games and we are not. 10 1/2 games out is no joke against them, time is tickin'. I got in a beef at Rustico the other night after doing the Jeter Fist Pump when the Yankees scored a run. This toolbox in a pink shirt got into it with me and appeared embarrassed for me that I was a Yankees fan (I was wearing my players cap backwards as always). I simply explained that it was only June and to not ever talk about "games back" until September (remember the "Boston Massacre" last year red son fans???). He then jived me for reminding him that we have 26 rings ("you yankees fans thats all you have to say.") Damn right thats all we have to say!!!! Scoreboard baby - you sucked for 86 years and we have a tradition of excellence, and don't even talk to me about payroll. I must point out that he also said the following after I had him cornered; "Well, I'd take our 1 championship over your 26 any day." I think he realized how stupid he sounded just as he finished saying that gem of a statement. He went away after that and as his group was leaving I reminded him that he was wearing a pink shirt, and that my team was #1...

Doin' It In Dobbs

Our new pad. My special lady friend and I will be moving here June 29th. Our first place together (since she moved in with me at our current place of residence) and we can't wait to be back in the great state of New York again! We are going from the 10th floor of a high-rise apartment building to the first floor of a converted old mansion. I am most looking forward to having our own little patch of grass and patio where I plan on doing a lot of "porching", i.e. the act of hanging out on a porch and all the activities that go with it. Music on, grillin', chillin', and enjoying what nature has to offer. We bought a small wooden bistro table at IKEA and I am itchin' to take it out of the box and set it up.

First Post

I have finally decided to publish my thoughts and random musings on the interwebs. I have been using myspace for a couple years but that site is growing tired. In an effort to have close friends still be able to keep in touch and share with them what I am up to, as well as walk the fine line between personal expression and publically representing the company which pays my bills and puts food on the table, I will post to this blog with as much detail as possible so that if you know me you get it, but if you don't know me then hopefully you are amused by my ramblings while still allowing me to remain anonymous.

I will probably write a lot about music, observations on society, and all the bizness that I'm up to.

So please enjoy and leave as many comments as possible...
